I’m pleased to announce that Take The Time has signed onto the MenCare Global Fatherhood Campaign, joining partners from over 45 countries around the world working to advance positive fatherhood and gender equality.
MenCare promotes men’s active, equitable and nonviolent involvement as fathers and caregivers around the world. Through innovative programming, community-driven and global campaigns, and targeted advocacy, MenCare has already reached millions of individuals and changed the lives of people around the world.
At Take The Time, we’re particularly excited about the MenCare Parental Leave Platform, which presents 10 ways to leave gender inequality behind and give our children the care they need.
The platform “is calling on governments and employers to adopt equal leave policies for both parents that are well-paid, non-transferable, and adequate in length. These policies have proven to be some of the most effective in encouraging men’s caregiving and promoting greater equality in the household, workplace, and society as a whole, particularly when embedded within broader strategies to reduce and redistribute care work.”
